About the Role

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery. • Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights. • Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed. • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms. • Provide technical accounting support on complex issues to clients and their teams. • Identify operational inefficiencies through discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements. • Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, offering guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters. • Influence others, promote constructive change, and develop team members.

What You Bring

The client accounting advisory practice is seeking a Manager with nonprofit accounting and controller‑level advisory experience. In this role you will lead engagements, build trusted client relationships, and collaborate with a supportive, high‑performing team that lives the Wipfli Way, while working remotely from anywhere in the US. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. • Possess 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting. • Have 3+ years of experience managing associates or teams. • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred. • Demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting and analysis. • Exhibit strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. • Show strong project management and relationship‑building abilities with a client‑first mindset. • Communicate effectively with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Proficient with accounting software such as Intaact, QuickBooks Online, Netsuite, Bill.com, and Microsoft Office, and adaptable to new technologies. • Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
