About the Role
The carpenter will perform a wide variety of tasks on construction sites, assisting other trades and handling both rough and finish carpentry. Responsibilities include interpreting sketches or blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, erecting scaffolding, installing structural components and fixtures, and managing material logistics. • Construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, metal, and wallboard structures using hand and power tools • Install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials, and millwork • Build rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary shelters per sketches or blueprints • Read specifications and measure boards, timbers, or plywood with various tools • Erect scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways • Install rough frames, subflooring, and weld components to steel structural members • Load, unload, and move materials from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations • Operate equipment as needed • Layout and frame partitions; install sheetrock • Perform rough carpentry including in‑wall blocking • Complete finish carpentry: install doors, frames, hardware, and trim • Set up temporary protection such as barricades, visqueen, and floor protection • Perform general clean‑up including vacuuming, sweeping, and debris removal • Lift, squat, and pull up to 100 lb repeatedly throughout the day • Selectively demolish non‑load‑bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring and clean debris • Receive and handle miscellaneous material deliveries • Install and maintain safety handrails and covered openings • Supervise subcontractors and shift work when directed by the foreman or superintendent

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least four years of commercial construction experience, OSHA 10 and an operator’s certificate are preferred. The role requires detail‑orientation, reliability, the ability to multitask, and flexible availability for overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
