About the Role
The role involves performing preventative, scheduled and corrective maintenance on MTU rail products in line with approved manuals and contract requirements. You will actively contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, attend customer meetings for work sign‑off, carry out fault‑finding using technical documentation, and complete all required service records. Additional duties include participation in HSQE processes, maintaining onsite cleanliness, and undertaking relevant training. • Perform preventative, scheduled and corrective maintenance on MTU rail equipment per manuals and contracts. • Participate in continuous‑improvement activities and suggest process enhancements. • Attend customer meetings to obtain sign‑off for completed work. • Conduct fault finding and repairs using technical drawings and fault‑finding guides. • Complete accurate service documentation for company and customer records. • Contribute to HSQE management processes and maintain onsite facility cleanliness. • Undertake local and factory training to keep skills current, including SAP and MTU Business Portal. • Report parts usage accurately to ensure effective stock control. • Utilise IT systems such as Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Diasys and Outlook.

What You Bring
Candidates should have an engineering background such as an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent, strong safety awareness and proficiency in MS Office. On‑the‑job training will be provided for SAP and the MTU Business Portal. Preferred qualities include a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work well in a team. • Hold an engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Engineering) or equivalent. • Demonstrate outstanding safety awareness and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Show proactive initiative, strong organisational skills, flexibility and teamwork orientation.
