About the Role

The Electrical Foreperson is a field‑based leadership role responsible for the safety, quality, customer service, and productivity of assigned solar installation projects. Working on residential and small commercial jobs, the foreperson oversees a crew of three to six members, ensuring projects are completed within established guidelines and timeframes. Key duties include organizing and training crew members, managing construction workflow, maintaining adequate materials and equipment, and documenting project progress with photos. The foreperson enforces OSHA and NEC safety standards, conducts hourly checks on installers, and communicates consistently with customers throughout the construction phase. Additional responsibilities involve vehicle inspections, time‑sheet accuracy, and providing constructability feedback to management. • Lead and train a crew of 3‑6 installers to complete residential and small commercial solar projects safely and on schedule. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards; conduct hourly progress checks. • Manage material and equipment logistics, maintain project documentation and photo records. • Provide customer communication throughout construction and handle payment collection.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid Journeyman/Electrician license or comparable state certification. Knowledge of the NEC, up‑to‑date code books, and CPR/First Aid certification are required, as are strong mechanical, construction, and verbal communication skills. Experience with electrical work up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license are also essential. The role demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lb frequently (up to 100 lb with assistance), working on rooftops, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Employees must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as fall‑protection harnesses and arc‑flash suits, and travel up to 5 % of the time to job sites. • Hold a valid Journeyman/Electrician license, up‑to‑date NEC code book, and CPR/First Aid certification. • Demonstrated experience with wiring up to 600 VDC/480 VAC and strong mechanical/construction skills. • Ability to lift up to 100 lb with assistance, work on rooftops, in confined spaces, and in varied weather conditions.
