About the Role
The position provides a challenging opportunity to lead technical design on complex, multi‑disciplinary water projects, manage budgets and schedules, and influence practice‑wide engineering standards. You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to bid proposals, and collaborate with colleagues in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated solutions. • Lead a team of Clean Water Process Engineers delivering technical design for complex, multi‑disciplinary projects. • Develop and manage design deliverables, including reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work, ensuring compliance with national codes and project standards. • Provide technical leadership across the regional and national D&AT practice, influencing best‑practice initiatives and internal processes. • Grow and manage Clean Water Process Engineering capability within the practice, mentoring junior staff and solving challenging problems independently. • Advise clients and project teams on technical, operational and service matters, and support bid proposal development. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer, and has proven experience delivering large‑scale clean‑water process designs in a consultancy environment. You should possess deep knowledge of drinking water treatment technologies, current design codes, and strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement. • Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and Chartered Chemical/Process Engineer status. • Proven experience leading large‑scale clean water process design in a consultancy, preferably within the UK water market. • In‑depth knowledge of conventional and advanced drinking water treatment technologies and current design codes, including CDM regulations. • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. • Proactive, collaborative mindset with ability to work at all stakeholder levels.
