About the Role
The manager collaborates with cross‑functional partners to craft event and experience strategies that align with company goals, ensuring consistency, scalability, and brand‑standard execution across locations. Responsibilities span food and beverage oversight, space management, data‑driven optimization, and end‑to‑end event production, from pre‑event briefings to post‑event reviews. Front‑of‑house leadership includes hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of the Reception team while coordinating security and janitorial services. Additional duties involve creating playbooks, maintaining a SharePoint resource hub, and delivering internal communications on events and experiences. • Develop and execute event strategies aligned with company goals. • Oversee food and beverage experiences to ensure quality, consistency, and budget compliance. • Manage workplace event spaces, including the Autodesk Conference Experience, for optimal functionality and brand standards. • Lead end‑to‑end event planning, coordinating internal staff, vendors, security, and janitorial services. • Conduct pre‑event briefings and post‑event reviews to capture learnings and best practices. • Recruit, train, schedule, and performance‑manage the Reception team, establishing service standards. • Partner with the Workplace Manager to support day‑to‑day operations and oversee Pier 9 alignment. • Create and maintain event playbooks, SOPs, and a SharePoint hub for planners. • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly master schedules covering events, spaces, and staffing. • Develop and track event budgets, process vendor invoices, and report on space utilization metrics. • Identify and pilot process improvements, automation, and innovative event solutions.

What You Bring
The role requires at least five years of experience in workplace or corporate events and four years of people‑management experience, including coaching and performance reviews. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Teams, SharePoint, and familiar with event‑room booking systems such as Robin or Eptura, and be capable of building SOPs and operational documentation. High emotional intelligence, a service‑oriented leadership style, and flexibility to work on‑site beyond standard business hours are essential. • Require 5+ years of workplace or corporate events experience. • Require 4+ years of people‑management experience, including coaching and performance reviews. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience with event/room‑booking systems such as Robin, Eptura, or similar. • Demonstrated ability to build SOPs, playbooks, and operational documentation. • High emotional intelligence with a service‑oriented, professional leadership style.
