About the Role

Each day you’ll repair the trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers across the United States, using modern tools and procedures on diesel and, at some sites, CNG trucks. Your work directly supports local communities and helps maintain a reliable fleet. Mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, estimating repair costs, responding to emergency breakdowns, and completing required documentation while adhering to safety standards. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate labor and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) and respond to emergency breakdown calls • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate standards • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage, repair times, and driver inspection reports • Assist senior mechanics with project work and maintain a clean, safe work area
