About the Role
• Assist the Chef in managing food services according to ATCO Frontec Food Service Management Guides • Prepare all foods for service at designated times • Control inventory to maintain proper minimum stock levels • Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standards • Oversee stocking of food service areas, focusing on quality, appearance, adequate levels, and waste reduction • Train and direct subordinate food service workers while ensuring safety compliance • Supervise staff to maintain sanitary standards in preparation, serving, storage, and safety procedures • Conduct safety toolbox talks as required • Assign duties and work areas for efficient service • Inspect facilities and equipment for regulatory compliance, including kitchen logs and cleaning schedules • Clean kitchen, utensils, and equipment • Maintain valid CSTS and First Aid certifications

What You Bring
The role is safety‑sensitive and requires completion of a pre‑employment alcohol and drug test. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted, and personal information will be handled in accordance with ATCO Group privacy policies. • Hold a Red Seal Certification • Possess 3‑4 years of experience as a 1st Cook in the hotel/restaurant industry • Have an Advanced Food Safe Certificate • Demonstrate strong professional communication skills, both oral and written • Ability to supervise and work with other kitchen employees • Exhibit strong organization, leadership, prioritization, and multitasking abilities • Work well under pressure and solve problems effectively
