About the Role
The Assistant Project Manager works under the supervision of the Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all phases of construction projects across multiple sites in Québec. This full‑time, on‑site role requires high geographic mobility, a rotational schedule, and the ability to adapt to high‑stress environments and weather fluctuations. • Represent the company on‑site and maintain relationships with the community, client, suppliers, and project team. • Plan tasks, schedule frameworks, estimate work, award contracts, control costs, manage the project and supervise the team. • Coordinate work with the project team, establish methods with the Site Manager and Superintendent, and negotiate key contractor selections. • Manage procurement, organize and lead construction site and internal meetings, and share site information with clients. • Authorize payments to subcontractors and suppliers, and follow up on warranties, change notices, and payments. • Perform administrative and technical follow‑up (costs, productivity, inspections, technical sheets, contingencies, contracts). • Coordinate preliminary and pre‑operational inspections with the Superintendent and ensure final client acceptance. • Communicate performance indicators to senior management and halt non‑compliant activities as required.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar roles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Fluency in oral and written French; intermediate English for national interactions. • High geographic mobility and a valid driver’s license. • Strong teamwork, management, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. • Initiative, autonomy, leadership, and conflict‑resolution abilities. • Rigorous administrative standards and ability to adapt to high‑stress, variable‑weather construction sites.
