About the Role
The role involves general roofing repairs across occupied properties, including replacement of roof tiles, felt roofing and wooden battens, as well as chimney repairs and flat‑roof installations. Additional duties cover ridge, verge and hip tile work, gutter and downpipe repairs, fascia, soffit and barge‑board maintenance, roof insulation, vent and skylight repairs, and emergency call‑outs after storms. All work must meet health‑and‑safety standards, be recorded accurately, and communicated clearly with tenants and site supervisors. • Perform general roofing repairs, including tile, felt, and wooden batten replacements. • Carry out chimney repairs, flat‑roof installations, and ridge/veer/hip tile work. • Repair and install gutters, downpipes, fascia, soffit, and barge boards. • Conduct roof insulation, vent, eaves ventilation, ducting, and skylight repairs. • Respond to emergency call‑outs for storm damage or leaks. • Accurately record material usage and time, and liaise with tenants and supervisors. • Support planned maintenance programmes and ensure compliance with the Decent Homes Standard.

The position offers an annual salary of up to £34,031.33 and is based in Rotherham. It is a full‑time permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am‑4 pm, with a company van and fuel card provided.
