About the Role

The Service Technician performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role handles resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and the preparation of vacant apartments for new move‑ins. • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing per policies and codes. • Perform “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch list creation, vendor scheduling, and final inspection. • Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisor of reorder needs. • Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking. • Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed. • Support cost‑control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently. • Follow safety policies, attend OSHA training, and report accidents promptly. • Inspect contractor and vendor work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. • Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety and maintenance concerns.

What You Bring

The position requires standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently or 50 pounds with assistance. Employees must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and be on call as needed, with occasional travel to support other properties or attend training. • Hold EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification. • Possess all state and local certifications required for service technicians. • Maintain a valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where needed.

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $18.00‑$19.50, with eligibility for bonus programs based on individual and company performance.
