About the Role
As an Assistant Engineer in the Asset Consultancy Team, you will support Engineers, Hydraulic Modellers and Asset Planners in delivering potable water infrastructure projects for UK utilities, private developers and local authorities. The role offers hands‑on experience across a wide range of water‑sector activities, helping you build a strong technical foundation, develop innovative engineering solutions and work closely with senior team members to meet client expectations. • Assist in feasibility studies and option development for potable water projects. • Build, calibrate, upgrade, and assess hydraulic network models and operational responses. • Contribute to asset risk prioritisation modelling and water quality modelling analyses. • Perform growth studies and network capacity checks. • Support project delivery to meet client expectations for quality, time, and budget. • Prepare risk assessments and maintain project‑related health and safety strategies. • Conduct data analysis, report preparation, and document control.

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with a relevant degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering (or working towards one), a strong interest in clean‑water infrastructure, good written and verbal communication, and solid IT skills with a willingness to learn specialist tools. • Hold a relevant engineering degree (or be studying towards one). • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Proficient in MS Office with enthusiasm for learning GIS and network modelling software. • Exhibit a professional, positive attitude and willingness to engage in client‑facing activities.
