Job Highlights
About the Role
Under general supervision, the employee applies appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts. • Perform minor repairs and apply basic welding processes. • Repair compactors, containers and carts. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose/repair electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors. • Use welding processes such as arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on various materials. • Conduct safety checks on compactors and containers. • Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times. • Assist senior welders with project work. • Perform service calls for compactor repair. • Execute related tasks such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts. • Work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). • Interpret prints, drawings and verbal instructions. • Set up standard layouts and dimensions with required tolerances. • Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards. • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Benefits
The position offers a pay rate of $24+ per hour, depending on experience, with a Monday‑Friday (alternate Saturdays) schedule from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am.
