About the Role

You will work a Monday‑Friday schedule with a shift starting at 12:00 pm, providing stable hours for financial security and work‑life balance. The position is based in the repair/maintenance shop at WM’s Bristol, PA hauling site. Each day you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers across the U.S., using modern tools and procedures to maintain diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks. Your work directly contributes to community support and operational excellence. Key duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems; estimating time and material costs; adhering to Standard Labor Repair Times; responding to emergency breakdown calls; conducting safety checks; completing required paperwork; assisting senior mechanics; handling driver vehicle inspection reports; and maintaining a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs; follow Standard Labor Repair Times • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Perform safety checks and document parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics and handle driver vehicle inspection reports • Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work environment

What You Bring

To be considered, you need at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be over 18, legally eligible to work in the United States, and be able to meet the physical demands of the job. Successful candidates must also pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Ideal team members are collaborative, enjoy working both independently and as part of a group, thrive on varied daily challenges, and are determined problem solvers. The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. You will be exposed to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes while working both inside the garage and outdoors in inclement conditions.
