About the Role
The engineer will lead the creation of monitoring and control systems that enhance building and warehouse efficiency while ensuring cybersecurity and system performance. • Design and implement SCADA systems for warehouse automation and building management. • Develop and configure HMI/SCADA screens for real‑time monitoring and data visualization. • Integrate SCADA with PLCs, sensors, and field devices using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, OPC, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP. • Collaborate with controls, electrical, and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration. • Create and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, I/O lists, tag databases, and control narratives. • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems during deployment and post‑installation. • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices. • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for reliability and efficiency. • Assist with data analytics, trend analysis, and reporting for building and warehouse operations. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate emerging SCADA technologies.

What You Bring
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or computer‑science field and have several years of hands‑on experience with SCADA platforms, automation protocols, and warehouse or building automation technologies. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field. • 3–7 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA systems. • Proven experience with warehouse automation technologies (WCS/WMS, conveyors, robotics). • Familiarity with building automation systems (HVAC, lighting, energy management, fire alarms, access control). • Hands‑on experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, GE iFIX, Siemens WinCC, or Schneider EcoStruxure. • Proficiency in communication protocols like BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA/DA, MQTT. • Strong networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls). • Experience with HMI/GUI development tools and scripting (Python, JavaScript, or proprietary languages). • Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to read electrical and control schematics. • Experience in high‑throughput warehouses or automated logistics environments. • Data center SCADA experience. • Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE). • Experience with cloud‑based SCADA/IoT platforms and edge computing. • Familiarity with SQL/historian databases and data analytics tools. • Professional certifications in SCADA, automation, or cybersecurity (preferred).
