About the Role
The role is accountable for excellent communications project management, writing, and client service, and helps achieve corporate goals through implementation of communications plans for internal and external audiences. It coordinates work with other Communications staff to ensure alignment with overall strategy for the company, business units, jurisdictions, and issues. You will plan, research, write, edit, and coordinate the development of print, electronic, and web‑based communications such as brochures, bill inserts, fact sheets, presentations, and collateral material. You will also work closely with graphic designers, ensuring final products meet client needs and adhere to brand guidelines. The position documents and improves processes to deliver quality, on‑time results within budget, and serves on cross‑functional teams to provide communications perspectives and help develop and implement plans and tactics. You will provide communications counsel to clients and collaborate with vendor‑partners, including printers and direct‑mail houses, to ensure production quality and timing, handling invoices and correct budget coding. • Manage communications projects, write and edit print, electronic, and web content. • Coordinate with graphic designers and vendors to deliver quality materials on time and within budget. • Provide communications counsel and support brand alignment across internal and external audiences. • Serve on cross‑functional teams to develop and implement communications plans and tactics. • Process invoices with correct budget codes and oversee production timelines. • Create clear, concise messaging tailored to B2B and B2C target audiences.

What You Bring
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline, and five years of experience in roles that involve significant direct interaction with clients, designers, and production vendors. Agency or corporate experience is preferred, and the ability to write clearly, concisely, quickly, and accurately for target audiences is essential. Additional qualifications include success in marketing communications for B2B and/or B2C products, experience with direct marketing, internet marketing, and collateral development, and preferably experience in the utility industry. • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, PR, or related field required. • Minimum five years of client‑facing experience in agency or corporate settings; utility experience preferred. • Demonstrated ability to write quickly and accurately while managing multiple fast‑paced projects. • Experience in marketing communications, direct marketing, internet marketing, and collateral development.
