About the Role
The Resident Engineer will supervise water, wastewater, and related infrastructure projects from pre‑bid through completion, coordinating closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and end‑users. Responsibilities include daily construction oversight, inspection, technical review of plans and change orders, and ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of reports. • Oversee daily construction and Resident Engineering inspections for water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. • Serve as primary liaison between contractors and design staff, handling RFIs and reviewing shop drawings. • Conduct technical reviews of plans, specifications, and change orders to ensure constructability. • Maintain accurate records, process contractor payments, draft and negotiate field change orders, and compile required reports. • Manage staff safety, regulatory compliance, permits, and coordination with regulatory agencies. • Monitor contractor performance, schedule compliance, and deliver timely inspection reports.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering and have at least two years of construction‑management or inspection experience on civil works such as dams, roads, utilities, and treatment plants. Proficiency with MS SharePoint, MS Project, the Office suite, Autodesk Construction Cloud and PDF editing tools like Bluebeam Revu is required. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, PE or CCM certification, and familiarity with dam and heavy‑civil construction. • Minimum two years of construction management or inspection experience on civil works projects. • Proficient with MS SharePoint, MS Project, Office Suite, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu. • Ability to interact effectively with contractors, utilities, and state, local, and federal agencies. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, PE or CCM certification, and experience with dam construction.
