About the Role
• Assist Welder I and Welder II with various welding tasks as directed. • Prepare workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and scraping. • Help set up welding equipment and tools under supervision. • Handle and store welding materials and equipment properly. • Operate power tools and hand tools under guidance. • Assist in tack welding components together for final welding. • Support Welder I and Welder II in maintaining a safe and clean work environment. • Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times. • Assist in training and mentoring new helpers as needed.
