About the Role
Key duties include locating and fixing damaged equipment or wiring, readjusting, repairing, or replacing inoperative components, coordinating inspections with police or fire departments, performing system repairs and minor tasks such as battery replacement, testing system operation, completing accurate paperwork, and delivering recommendations and quotes for efficient facility operation. • Troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. • Inspect, repair, replace, and test equipment to restore full functionality. • Coordinate inspections and installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies. • Assist fellow technicians and perform minor repairs such as battery replacement. • Complete accurate customer paperwork and provide detailed service reports. • Recommend solutions and upsell opportunities, delivering quotes to customers. • Read blueprints, use hand/power tools, and safely operate fleet vehicles and ladders.

What You Bring
The Johnson Controls Security Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert skilled in intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers, providing the highest level of service to resolve building inefficiencies and service items. Required qualifications are at least five years in low‑voltage or security work, strong knowledge of major security platforms (e.g., Bosch, Honeywell, DSC), a valid driver’s license with an excellent record, and the ability to pass background checks. Preferred skills include reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, safely operating ladders and fleet vehicles, and providing excellent customer service. • Possess at least 5 years of low‑voltage/security experience and knowledge of major manufacturers (Bosch, Honeywell, etc.). • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
