Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction
Manage cost control, estimating, and change orders for large data center projects.

About the Role
• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout construction lifecycle. • Produce and present final cost plans. • Review cost estimates with design team and general contractor. • Reconcile changes and verify contractor data accuracy. • Gather status information from contractor and owner PM to update cost estimates. • Prepare written comments and executive summaries on contractor submissions. • Coordinate cost information from suppliers, subcontractors, and architects. • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact. • Resolve scheduling issues proactively with minimal supervision. • Manage cost checks and valuations on large projects. • Participate in post‑contract cost variance analysis and change control. • Manage cost impact, contingency, and commitment tracking logs. • Prepare funding presentations and facilitate value‑engineering sessions. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
The company is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor to deliver commercial management, cost control and estimating services for a global technology client’s massive data‑center construction programme. The role requires strong communication skills and comfort in a client‑facing capacity, as the successful candidate will work closely with the design team, general contractor and owner project manager. • 6+ years in cost management/quantity surveying on large‑scale data centers. • Strong post‑contract and change order management experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • PQS or MRICS accreditation (preferred). • Proficiency with cost management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage). • In‑depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and risk management. • Understanding of data‑center design, MEP systems, and structural elements. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
