About the Role

You will be the go‑to expert for environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, ensuring projects meet federal, state, and local requirements. Your work will directly influence the success of major energy initiatives, helping clients navigate complex regulations while advancing cleaner, more efficient energy solutions. • Prepare permit applications compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. • Evaluate regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records and survey reports. • Develop technical documents, data tables, spreadsheets, and engineering calculations. • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting. • Communicate clear recommendations to clients, agencies, and stakeholders. • Uphold safety and sustainability standards on all project activities.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in natural science or engineering. • 3+ years experience in environmental permitting or regulatory compliance. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Skilled at desktop research and GIS map interpretation (e.g., National Wetland Inventory, USGS). • Field‑ready to work in varied weather and navigate with GPS/maps. • Excellent technical writing and communication for diverse audiences. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 40%. • Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay flexible. • Preferred: Experience with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) processes. • Preferred: Familiarity with natural resource management agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. • Preferred: Consulting or field experience on active construction sites. • Preferred: Working knowledge of ArcGIS and field survey techniques.
