About the Role
We’re looking for a Water Serviceperson to join our team in Invercargill, supporting the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater and stormwater networks. This practical, field‑based role offers varied daily tasks, including routine maintenance, responding to pump‑station faults, handling network incidents, and completing reinstatement works to a high standard. The role requires participation in a standby and call‑out roster and may involve supporting incident and emergency response when needed. What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have experience in water, wastewater or stormwater reticulation and pump‑station maintenance, hold relevant infrastructure or trade qualifications (or be working towards them), and demonstrate strong safety awareness with a commitment to Zero Harm. They must be able to complete field documentation accurately and on time, possess a full Class 1 licence (Class 2, RTW, traffic management and confined‑space training are advantageous), and be willing to take part in standby and call‑out rosters. Reliability, a team‑focused attitude, and comfort working outdoors in a hands‑on community role are essential. • Bring experience in water, wastewater or stormwater reticulation and pump‑station maintenance. • Hold relevant infrastructure or trade qualifications (or be working toward them). • Demonstrate strong safety awareness and commitment to Zero Harm. • Possess a full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2, RTW, traffic management, confined‑space training advantageous). • Be reliable, team‑focused and comfortable working outdoors in a community‑service role.
