About the Role
The T5 Construction Manager oversees scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces for all design and construction activities, emphasizing schedule certainty, budget delivery, quality standards, and a strong health, safety, and environmental culture. This role supports planning, testing, commissioning, turnover and risk‑mitigation efforts while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with project standards. • Monitor on‑site construction activities and ensure work follows approved plans and Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs). • Apply multidisciplinary construction knowledge and appropriate installation methods. • Verify work adheres to the latest plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs. • Collaborate with design/build teams and stakeholders to plan construction phases and critical milestones. • Track budget estimates, staffing needs, and assign manpower, materials, and equipment to meet schedule and cost goals. • Identify potential issues early and take preventative actions to keep milestones on track. • Enforce safe construction practices and quality control while optimizing efficiency and cost. • Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients. • Implement project policies, including labor agreement requirements. • Participate in coordination meetings with design/build, trade partners, stakeholders, and LAWA Operations. • Review and negotiate contractor change‑order claims for merit and final resolution.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related field (Master’s preferred). • 10+ years of experience, preferably on airport projects exceeding $100 M. • Experience with Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑CMAR, and Design/Build delivery methods. • Proven management capability and strong written/oral communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and PM Web or similar project‑management systems. • Optional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or other relevant licensure.
