Public Affairs - Summer Intern
Assist EPCOR's Public Affairs team with PR, content, events, and stakeholder communications.

About the Role
• Execute public relations, community outreach, stakeholder engagement, customer relations, and employee communication strategies. • Write, edit, and distribute newsletters, press releases, internal announcements, promotional materials, and social media content. • Coordinate community partner and industry events, handling logistics and volunteer support. • Manage editorial calendars, deploy content, and monitor social media and internal digital platforms. • Monitor news sources, identify proactive media opportunities, and support media outreach. • Draft internal reports summarizing news coverage, meetings, event outcomes, and other initiatives. • Deploy brand swag and organize collateral materials. • Network with water industry professionals and fellow interns through cohort‑based programs. • Participate in site tours to experience operations and projects firsthand. • Receive resume building and interview practice sessions. • Engage in community outreach and sustainability initiatives. • Manage complex, multi‑faceted projects under tight deadlines. • Work collaboratively with mentors and team members and demonstrate eagerness to learn new skills.

What You Bring
To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Successful applicants will undergo a background check, drug screening, reference verification, and education verification, with some roles also requiring a credit check. Certain positions may involve outdoor work in various weather conditions or compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
