About the Role

The firm is seeking a Cost Manager to support construction cost services for its clients. The role involves advising clients, managing estimating, cost reporting, cost control and final accounting while upholding Turner & Townsend’s purpose and values. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, vendors and clients to deliver accurate cost information and risk assessments. • Advise clients on vendor pre‑qualification, bid proposals, and make final recommendations. • Lead bid interviews, chair appointment processes, and manage bid documentation. • Develop comprehensive project cost estimates and review junior estimators’ work. • Present estimates, value‑engineering options, and risk assessments to clients. • Validate and challenge vendor cost inputs using benchmark data. • Establish cost reporting schedules, produce forecasts, and maintain a commercial risk register. • Review payment applications, recommend contractor entitlements, and assess change‑order requests. • Manage invoicing, final accounting, post‑contract audits, and project close‑out. • Conduct post‑contract reviews, capture lessons learned, and create training manuals. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field. • 3‑5 years of cost management experience on medium to large construction projects. • RICS accreditation (or working towards it) valued. • Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and engineering. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • On‑site presence adaptable to client needs.
