Job Highlights
About the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner provides specialized HR consulting and coaching to business leaders, addressing people and cultural challenges, and advising on hiring, termination, performance management, and rewards. They enable business change by supporting talent aspects of organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and workforce planning, while advocating HR programs and managing rollouts to minimize disruption. Key responsibilities include setting and implementing a local people plan, capability and workforce planning, organization design, performance management, competence development, talent management, remuneration strategy, change management, and promoting safety and integrity standards. • Provide HR consulting and coaching to business leaders on people and cultural issues. • Support talent aspects of organizational changes, M&A integration, and workforce planning. • Advocate HR programs, communicate business value, and manage rollouts to minimize disruption. • Partner with talent management and recruiting on succession planning, hi‑potential development, and diversity & inclusion. • Set and implement a local people plan covering culture, competence, and organization. • Conduct capability and workforce planning to meet short‑ and long‑term business targets. • Design organizational structures in line with company standards and job architecture. • Build performance culture through goal setting, issue identification, and recognition of high performers. • Implement learning and development initiatives to enhance competence. • Oversee talent management, recruitment, succession planning, and risk mitigation. • Determine compensation competitiveness and monitor staffing cost. • Drive change management through communication, reorganization, and motivation. • Promote health, safety, and integrity standards across the business.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a preferred master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, at least five years of HR Business Partner experience, work authorization for Canada, proficiency in MS Office (Workday experience preferred), strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to handle confidential information. • Hold a master’s degree in HR or related field (preferred). • Minimum five years of experience as an HR Business Partner. • Proficient with MS Office; Workday experience preferred. • Strong organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service abilities. • Ability to manage confidential information, think critically, and present effectively. • Authorized to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
