About the Role

The security officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets at the assigned location. This role involves maintaining a secure environment by monitoring for potential threats, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations. Key duties include patrolling the premises on foot and in security vehicles, using surveillance tools such as cameras and monitoring systems, and identifying suspicious behavior or violations of security protocols. The officer checks identification, searches bags, controls access to restricted areas, and documents incidents and suspicious activities in detailed reports. In emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, the officer responds promptly and coordinates with other agencies. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb and to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods in seasonal hot or cold temperatures, with exposure to dust and chemical fumes.
