About the Role

The intern will evaluate crash history data and verify its accuracy, use and create geospatial transportation data, and develop text and spreadsheet documents while manipulating data. They will interact effectively with VHB staff to advance projects in a timely manner, perform field work—including taking measurements, photographs, and visually confirming transportation facility operations—and prepare clearly organized traffic safety and engineering reports and technical memos to communicate findings and recommendations. • Evaluate and verify crash history data. • Create and manage geospatial transportation datasets. • Develop and manipulate text and spreadsheet documents. • Collaborate with VHB staff to advance project timelines. • Conduct field measurements, photography, and facility observations. • Prepare organized traffic safety and engineering reports and memos.

Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in civil engineering.
