About the Role

Key responsibilities include ensuring materials, equipment, and inspections align with the project schedule; reviewing construction documents for completeness; coordinating with design engineers to resolve plan discrepancies; and developing both short‑term (three‑week) and medium‑term (six‑week) schedules. The superintendent will create site logistics plans, manage Mortenson tools, collaborate with partner superintendents, conduct orientations and pre‑construction meetings, and supervise crews and foremen. Additional duties involve mentoring assistant superintendents, handling hiring and termination of craft team members, tracking productivity, ensuring training compliance, managing safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and identifying process improvements. • Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection support to meet project schedule. • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability. • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers to resolve discrepancies. • Develop and manage three‑ and six‑week look‑ahead project schedules. • Create and execute a site logistics plan. • Manage utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment. • Collaborate with partner superintendents on project delivery. • Conduct on‑site orientations, pre‑construction planning sessions, and site meetings. • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews. • Mentor, manage, and evaluate Assistant Superintendents, General Foremen, and Foremen. • Interview, hire, transfer, and terminate craft team members as needed. • Ensure accurate task coding of work hours on timecards. • Track work progress and craft productivity. • Verify craft team training is current before task start. • Conduct career development discussions with foremen and craft members. • Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance. • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

BLUvera is seeking an experienced Superintendent I who can interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, proactivity, and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality. The role involves coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities, as well as developing strong customer relationships through excellent service. The position is based on a project site in Monroe, Louisiana or Albuquerque, New Mexico and requires relocation. Candidates must possess proven leadership skills to manage a construction‑focused manufacturing plant, oversee schedules, trade partners, hiring, material handling, and have hands‑on building experience. Visa sponsorship is not offered. Qualified candidates typically hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or have ten years of trade experience, coupled with at least eight years of construction experience and two years in a supervisory role. They must be detail‑oriented, possess a basic understanding of construction law, be proficient with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level, and demonstrate a professional attitude with strong customer service skills. Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and a valid driver’s license are also required. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience. • Minimum eight years construction experience, including two years in a supervisory role. • Proven ability to handle multiple complex projects. • Strong attention to detail for organizing and managing tasks. • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency. • Professional attitude with strong customer service skills. • Ability to interpret and apply Mortenson policies. • Valid driver’s license.

The base pay range for this role is $111,400 to $167,100, with higher ranges for specific locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
