About the Role

The hired engineer will be part of an integrated team delivering mechanical design for data centers and other mission‑critical facilities, and will mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities include leading projects from concept through construction, collaborating with clients, project managers, architects, electrical engineers, contractors, and marketing teams, and producing feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, calculations, RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigations, and construction administration. • Coordinate mechanical design team through schematic development and contract documentation. • Lead meetings and code‑compliance reviews with governing agencies. • Manage workload to ensure timely completion of project documents. • Conduct on‑site work sessions with the project manager and multidisciplinary team. • Review mechanical documents for conflicts across all disciplines. • Write and edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, systems, and devices. • Assist disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, change orders, and integrate approved changes. • Provide construction contract administration as needed. • Perform QA/QC on work of Mechanical Project Engineers, Coordinators, or CAD Technicians.

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis. • Minimum three years of mechanical system design experience in commercial or institutional buildings. • Experience designing data center or mission‑critical facilities. • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED (desired, not required). • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings. • Experience working on commercial or institutional facilities. • Proficiency with MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and manufacturer selection tools. • Background in an architectural/engineering or consulting firm.
