About the Role
Within the first six to twelve months, the manager is expected to enhance financial performance, strengthen operational coordination, and improve customer engagement and contracting processes. • Own end‑to‑end commercialization of approximately 1.2 MMbbl/d crude portfolio, optimizing pricing, quality, transportation, storage, and contract terms to maximize netback. • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders; serve as primary escalation point for commercial issues. • Lead negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management of spot and term crude sales agreements, ensuring compliance with governance, credit policy, and risk controls. • Translate market fundamentals, differentials, quality economics, and downstream demand into actionable contracting and sales strategies. • Partner with Logistics, Scheduling, Operations, and downstream teams to ensure commercial commitments are executable and protect value during disruptions. • Coach, develop, and inspire a team of senior marketing coordinators, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Achieve improved realized netbacks versus plan, reduce execution misses, and enhance contracting discipline within the first 6–12 months.

What You Bring
The position is based in Calgary, Alberta, works a 5‑day, 2‑shift, 8‑hour schedule, and is not classified as safety‑sensitive. Applications are accepted until February 16, 2026, and candidates must have legal work authorization in Canada. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA or CFA is an asset. • Bring 12+ years of progressive experience in physical crude oil marketing, commercial execution, or trading, with demonstrated depth across market cycles. • Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, strong analytical judgment, and proven negotiation skills for spot and term agreements.
