About the Role
The Millwright Foreman leads a crew in laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing, and welding materials, acting as the Quality Lead. He/she serves as the primary liaison among customers, vendors, project managers, and staff, while monitoring schedules and adjusting resources to meet deadlines. • Lead and supervise staff as Quality Lead during layout, fabrication, alignment, installation, repair, and welding. • Act as liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and employees regarding project status. • Inspect work quality, analyze and resolve problems, and verify material accuracy on the jobsite. • Track production time and adjust schedules or crew allocations to meet deadlines. • Install, repair, and maintain machinery per construction plans, blueprints, and drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. • Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps. • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, squares, micrometers, and plumb bobs. • Maintain strict safety standards and promptly identify hazardous situations. • Perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lb (more with assistance), and working in varied weather conditions.

What You Bring
IMI is seeking a full‑time Millwright Foreman for its Athens, GA location. The role is essential to overseeing millwright activities and ensuring project success. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience, with a preference for NCCER or AWS certification or completion of an accredited technical program. The position requires the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift up to 50 lb (occasionally more with assistance), and work both indoors and outdoors in inclement weather. Safety awareness and the ability to recognize and escape dangerous situations are critical.
