About the Role
The Assembly Technician is responsible for producing quality products efficiently while working under close supervision. The role focuses on assembling various items and ensuring that each piece meets company standards. Typical duties include using pneumatic and hand tools such as screwdrivers, needle‑nose pliers, and hand cutters to build components. The technician also operates manufacturing and simple electronic equipment, which may involve air drivers, hand crimpers, stand‑off machines, amp machines, and soldering irons. Additional tasks encompass soldering, assembling components on printed circuit boards or wire harnesses, and verifying production processes. • Assemble a variety of items using pneumatic and hand tools. • Operate manufacturing and simple electronic equipment, including air drivers, hand crimpers, stand‑off machines, and soldering irons. • Perform soldering and component placement on printed circuit boards and wire harnesses. • Verify production processes and ensure assemblies are complete. • Complete required paperwork such as control sheets and scrap/shortage reports accurately. • Make minor repairs to assemblies when needed. • Notify the group leader or supervisor of any problems that arise. • Sit or stand for prolonged periods and distinguish component colors.
