About the Role
We are seeking Quality Management Leads (QMLs) to oversee quality assurance and control activities across the delivery programme, reporting to the Quality Delivery Manager and collaborating with project managers, contracted inspection agencies, supply‑chain partners, and regulators. In this role you will ensure that projects and suppliers apply the required processes and procedures, act as an ‘Intelligent Customer’ to establish robust quality arrangements, and provide quality‑related services and support to the multi‑disciplinary team. • Provide oversight and assurance to ensure quality arrangements are followed by the MDT and supply chain. • Develop and implement QA/QC arrangements across Sizewell C. • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including supply‑chain partners and inspection agencies. • Support and contribute to supplier qualification processes and tender evaluations. • Participate in supplier kick‑off meetings and training/development activities. • Work closely with the PM and QDM to ensure goods and services are delivered ‘right first time’. • Report on project and supplier quality performance, escalating issues and supporting mitigation actions. • Lead review, acceptance, and monitoring of Contractors’ Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs). • Support review of supplier Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs). • Produce and implement Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) to ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements. • Undertake and support audits, surveillance activities, and joint inspections. • Lead resolution of non‑conformances and promote continuous improvement initiatives. • Review and approve end‑of‑manufacturing records to facilitate equipment release. • Champion a strong nuclear safety culture within Sizewell C and the supply chain.

What You Bring

Applicants must acknowledge Sizewell C’s and EDF’s employee privacy policies. • Experience in project delivery, preferably nuclear, with a focus on quality management. • Solid understanding of QA/QC across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning. • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO standards, and preferably nuclear sector regulations. • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. • Proven leadership with ability to influence and provide constructive challenge. • Experience in supplier management and conducting supplier audits.

Benefits
Location: Manchester (3 days per week) with the potential for time away from home split between a Sizewell C office location and visits to UK and overseas suppliers. Salary is circa £60,000, dependent on experience. Closing date: Monday 9th February. • Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years, plus bank holidays. • Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus. • Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution. • Flexible Benefits: Additional allowance for a variety of flexible benefits.
