About the Role

Each day you will repair trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers across the U.S., using modern tools and procedures to maintain diesel and, at some locations, CNG fleets. Your work directly supports local communities and advances your technical skills. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on various vehicles and equipment • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring

Diesel Mechanics work the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm at our Mesa, AZ hauling site repair shop. The setting includes both indoor garage work and occasional outdoor conditions. The position requires frequent lifting, standing, walking and handling of tools, as well as exposure to typical shop hazards such as noise, odors and occasional weather extremes. Safety and compliance with OSHA standards are integral to daily operations. WM is an equal‑opportunity employer and provides accommodations throughout the hiring process.
