About the Role
The Principal Distribution Engineer provides senior‑level technical leadership for electric utility distribution projects, serving as the technical authority on complex design efforts. This role mentors engineering staff, guides project teams and utility clients, and ensures the delivery of safe, compliant, and high‑quality power distribution solutions. • Lead and review complex overhead and underground distribution designs (4 kV–35 kV). • Ensure designs comply with utility standards, NESC, NEC, and applicable codes. • Provide technical guidance to project managers, construction teams, and engineering staff. • Perform QA/QC reviews and support constructability and field issue resolution. • Mentor engineers and designers, and support technical training and best practices. • Act as a technical advisor to utility clients and assist with proposals and project pursuits.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Preferably possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Bring 10+ years of electric utility distribution engineering experience. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems and industry standards.
