About the Role
The Equipment Operator safely operates 60–70-ton haul trucks to transport rock within a quarry and occasionally runs a street sweeper to keep the plant and yard clean. Additional duties include assisting with quarry maintenance, supporting pit and yard loader operations, and conducting equipment inspections and minor maintenance. Work hours are based on customer demand and may require extended shifts, weekends, and Saturdays. • Safely operate 60–70‑ton haul trucks to transport rock and materials • Operate a street sweeper (pickup broom) occasionally to maintain plant and yard cleanliness • Perform and document pre‑shift, pre‑trip, and post‑trip equipment inspections • Conduct minor maintenance and basic repairs on haul trucks and related equipment • Assist with quarry maintenance and support pit and yard loader operations as needed • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Follow all safety policies, operating procedures, and site regulations • Work extended hours, weekends, and Saturdays as required by operational needs

What You Bring
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment operation • Experience operating haul trucks preferred; sweeper experience a plus • Ability to read and understand operating instructions and safety procedures • Self‑motivated, reliable, punctual; willing to learn and cross‑train • Experience using a variety of hand tools • Ability to perform and document equipment inspections • Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions and at elevated areas • Exposure to high levels of dust and noise • High school diploma or equivalent • 6 months to 1 year of related heavy equipment or construction/mining experience • Prior haul truck experience preferred • No CDL required • Ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, grasp, and perform manual tasks • Ability to work in dusty, noisy environments for extended periods • Must be able to meet physical demands of operating heavy equipment

Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, exclusive of benefits or bonuses, with base compensation determined by location, business needs, market conditions, skills, education, and experience. Martin Marietta emphasizes internal pay equity and considers compensation of similarly situated roles when making offers. The stated range reflects the expected base pay at hire and does not represent the total possible compensation.
