About the Role
The Tool and Equipment Associate ensures daily tool readiness by maintaining stocked tool cribs with tested equipment. This role supports inventory, facilitates maintenance, and guarantees tools are available and in good working condition for all job sites. In the area of tool management, the associate cleans and tests all tools returning to the shop, verifies that all accessories are present and functional, charges batteries while noting old ones for recycling, and ensures that any tools requiring calibration are sent to the appropriate program. Documentation of arc flash suits and tools that have been tested and certified is also required. Inventory control responsibilities include maintaining an accurate tool inventory in Remarcable, tracking usage, and managing stock levels to prevent shortages. The associate assists with location cycle counts, reviews inventory levels at job closeout, reports discrepancies to the Department Lead or Manager, and restocks primary locations from overstock on a weekly basis. Safety and compliance duties involve following all safety standards and company policies related to tool usage and maintenance, as well as inspecting fall‑arrest safety equipment and maintaining the required documentation. • Clean, test, and certify returned tools and accessories. • Charge batteries and label old ones for recycling. • Send tools needing calibration to the appropriate program. • Maintain accurate tool inventory in Remarcable and conduct cycle counts. • Restock tool cribs weekly and address discrepancies at job closeout. • Inspect and document fall‑arrest safety equipment.

The position operates in a warehouse environment and is exposed to weather conditions, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as hard‑toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves, and a high‑visibility vest. Employees may also use standard office equipment and are frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch, with occasional lifts of up to 50 pounds.
