About the Role
The Technician 1 position focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of the fleet, which includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC and oil‑&‑gas equipment. The role requires performing work safely and efficiently to minimize downtime while adhering to fast‑paced, changing priorities. • Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment. • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.

What You Bring
Sunbelt recognizes transferable skills from a wide range of military MOS, AFSC and NEC codes, and values experience such as shop mechanic, service foreman, diesel or hydraulic technician, among others. • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. • 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas) preferred. • May need to provide your own tools of trade. • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required depending on location.
