About the Role
As part of the team that keeps automation projects moving, you will support data‑center startups, perform on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate their systems on‑site, providing clear communication and updates to customers and project teams. Travel rotations follow schedules such as 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, or 14 on‑7 off, bringing new challenges and locations each project. • Travel to new cities, work directly with customers across North America, and earn travel rewards. • Conduct on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks for data‑center startups. • Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. • Test, troubleshoot, and validate automation and control systems alongside engineers. • Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams. • Follow travel rotation schedules (e.g., 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, 14 on‑7 off) across multiple locations. • Walk long distances across large facilities and climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights. • Work in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, and hot or cold conditions.

Strong adaptability, grit, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential, as is living within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available) and having a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment. A technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience of 3 + years in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering, and authorization to work in the U.S., are required. The role requires physical ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or stairs, lift and move up to 50 lb, and stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods, often in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, or extreme temperatures.
