About the Role
The engineer will lead design activities, select components, produce specifications, and develop both basic and detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulations, and internal standards. They will also support sourcing, software validation, factory acceptance testing, and contribute to product standardization and supplier performance. • Apply engineering concepts to control panel designs for gas/steam turbine generators, compressors, and motor‑driven equipment. • Design unit control panels according to customer specifications, regulations, and internal guidelines, and mentor junior engineers. • Select bill of materials for PLCs and other components; produce purchase specifications. • Create basic and detailed engineering drawings, including layout, network architecture, I/O lists, functional descriptions, cause‑and‑effect, and logic diagrams. • Prepare control‑valve and flow‑element data sheets; support sourcing for technical alignment and purchase order placement. • Collaborate with sourcing, quality, project management, and engineering functions globally to ensure smooth project execution. • Conduct project risk reviews, develop mitigation plans, and participate in kick‑off, design review, HAZOP, and SIL assessment meetings. • Support software validation and factory acceptance testing (FAT) with customers, ensuring technical capability and responsiveness. • Provide input to the product standardization team for quality and process improvements; drive suppliers to deliver on time and with quality.

What You Bring
Key qualifications include a BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in instrumentation, electronics or electrical engineering, at least eight years of relevant experience in control systems within the power or oil‑and‑gas sector, and hands‑on knowledge of PLC/DCS and turbomachinery. Travel for project meetings and strong teamwork and communication skills in English are essential. • Hold a BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, or equivalent. • Possess at least 8 years of experience in control systems design, operation, and maintenance in the power or oil & gas industry. • Have hands‑on experience with control panel design, PLC/DCS, and turbomachinery such as gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and generators. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for kick‑off meetings, design reviews, HAZOP, and FAT as required. • Demonstrate strong teamwork, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English.
