About the Role

The position follows a Monday‑Saturday schedule with 8‑hour shifts between 6 am and 5 pm, based at our waste‑disposal site in Juneau, AK, ensuring reliable work‑life balance. As a Heavy Equipment Operator I you will operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders at a recycling facility, conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, move and position raw materials and finished components, follow standard operating procedures, and perform other duties as assigned. • Operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders safely according to SOPs • Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance with accurate records • Move and position raw materials and finished components using material‑moving equipment • Work independently, uphold safety guidelines, communicate effectively, and solve problems autonomously

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least one year of experience operating heavy equipment, be 18 years of age or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, able to meet the physical demands of the role, and successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam. Successful team members thrive when working independently, take accountability for safety guidelines, communicate effectively, support colleagues, and solve problems autonomously. The work environment involves frequent exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes, requires motor coordination and finger dexterity, occasional handling of objects under 30 lb, and rare exposure to cuts, burns, or toxic chemicals. Work takes place in both shop and field settings.
