About the Role
• Lead, grow, and support inclusive engineering teams, fostering psychological safety and accountability. • Hire, onboard, and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and clear performance plans. • Partner with Product and Architecture to shape technical strategy for AWS-native and legacy platforms. • Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation. • Drive AI adoption by integrating LLMs and tools to boost developer productivity and software quality. • Own delivery commitments, use metrics to improve transparency, and support healthy on-call practices. • Promote cost awareness and efficiency across AWS environments and collaborate with peers through Communities of Practice.

What You Bring
Artificial intelligence tools may assist in the initial screening stages, though all assessments and final hiring decisions are made by a human hiring professional. As part of a safe workplace, Altus Group may conduct background checks—including employment, education, criminal, and credit verification—consistent with local laws. • Several years of software engineering experience combined with technical leadership and people management. • Proven track record building and scaling high-performing engineering teams delivering customer-facing web applications. • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, AWS, distributed systems, and Infrastructure as Code. • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and solid system design fundamentals. • Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure production systems.
