About the Role

As a member of the Tools & Outdoor Americas Supply Chain team, the DC Controller works on‑site to maintain financial integrity and compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing the balance sheet, leading a rigorous month‑end close, and ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance while fostering a strong internal‑control environment. The controller serves as a trusted financial advisor to the Site Leader, managing all aspects of the distribution center’s financial operations to maximize efficiency. This includes developing business cases, supporting strategic decisions, negotiating with key vendors alongside procurement, and presenting financial information to both DC employees and senior management. Timely operational financial reporting, variance analysis, and the preparation of forecasts and budgets are core duties. The role also equips management with strategic tools, leads cross‑functional cost‑reduction projects with engineering, procurement and operations, and drives overall site performance. • Lead month‑end close and ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. • Oversee balance‑sheet integrity and internal controls for the distribution center. • Act as financial advisor to the Site Leader, managing all DC financial operations. • Develop business cases and support strategic decisions with financial analysis. • Lead vendor negotiations in partnership with procurement. • Produce timely operational financial reports and variance analyses. • Manage forecasts, budgets and actuals throughout the year. • Drive cross‑functional cost‑reduction initiatives with engineering, procurement and operations. • Present financial performance to DC employees and senior management.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA or MBA considered a plus, and have 5–7 years of finance or controllership experience in a large or publicly traded company. Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Oracle (AS400 a plus) and advanced MS Office is required, along with strong analytical, communication, and continuous‑improvement skills. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred. • 5–7 years of finance/controllership experience, preferably in a large or publicly traded company. • Proficient in SAP, Ariba, Oracle (AS400 a plus) and advanced MS Office. • Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate large data sets. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organization levels. • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented with strong organizational and decision‑making abilities.
