About the Role
The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role optimizes production efficiency, coaches team members, and collaborates across departments to meet customer and company objectives, requiring a dynamic, motivated leader focused on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, leads, and skilled trades, to achieve production goals. • Oversee daily operations ensuring adherence to fabrication plans, schedules, and quality requirements. • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to align resources with priorities and deadlines. • Provide feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement. • Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as production output, on‑time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation for assigned projects and areas. • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Contribute to building bridges that connect tomorrow’s communities.

What You Bring
The work environment is a steel fabrication shop with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment, and all employees must wear required PPE at all times. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lb as needed. • Demonstrate proven leadership with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude. • Have 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication and expertise in throughput and efficiency optimization. • Exhibit excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Apply knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
