Job Highlights
About the Role
Operating with minimal supervision, the executive drives the sale of complex, bundled offerings, cultivates long‑term relationships with building owners, and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the contract lifecycle. The position also manages the qualification and closing of new guaranteed‑savings opportunities while expanding the scope of services within existing accounts. Success is achieved by persuasively presenting JCI solutions to C‑level decision makers, leveraging detailed sales tools, and securing incremental commitments through monthly checkpoints. The role emphasizes demonstrating financial acumen, listening to client concerns, and tailoring proposals that address business, environmental, and operational objectives. Collaboration is essential; the Account Executive engages internal specialists—including engineering, construction management, finance, and legal teams—to deliver comprehensive proposals and smooth implementation. They also coordinate with the Systems and Service sales organization, lead internal sales teams, and act as the customer’s advocate to maximize value. • Sell large, complex bundled energy solutions with guaranteed savings to C‑level decision makers. • Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with building owners and key stakeholders. • Lead the full sales cycle: qualify prospects, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close performance‑contracting deals. • Expand account depth by positioning renewable service agreements and multi‑year contracts. • Utilize Salesforce, account plans, and monthly checkpoints to track progress and secure commitments. • Coordinate internal resources (engineering, legal, finance, construction) to deliver maximum customer value. • Act as customer advocate, ensuring training, system operation knowledge, and satisfaction. • Target new customers in vertical markets, attend trade shows, and represent Johnson Controls professionally.
