What You Bring
Kimley-Horn's Fort Worth, Texas office is seeking a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with at least two years of experience to join the Roadway team. This position is onsite and not remote. The role requires a willingness to support various project managers by performing a range of civil engineering tasks, with opportunities for on‑the‑job and formal training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. Candidates must have two or more years of experience at a civil engineering design firm, hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, and possess an EIT or Engineering Intern certification, or be able to obtain it within twelve months. Proficiency with MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong communication skills, urgency in meeting deadlines, and a collaborative, detail‑oriented work style are essential. • 2+ years civil engineering design experience • ABET‑accredited B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering • EIT or ability to obtain certification within 12 months • Proficient in MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication • Demonstrated urgency and self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
