About the Role

The Senior Drainage Design Engineer will lead the design and implementation of drainage and stormwater management systems for major infrastructure projects in Ontario. The position sits within our Mobility Global Business Area, where we create connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies to support thriving cities and communities. You will be responsible for developing innovative drainage and stormwater solutions, providing expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, stormwater management, and erosion control, while ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations. Your leadership will include managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high‑quality deliverables. Collaboration with engineers, architects, and stakeholders will be essential to integrate drainage designs into broader project plans, and you will conduct field inspections and site assessments to verify system performance. In addition, you will prepare technical reports, detailed drawings, and specifications, and mentor junior engineers to foster a supportive team environment. • Lead design and implementation of drainage and stormwater systems for major Ontario infrastructure projects. • Ensure designs comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations and industry standards. • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high‑quality outcomes. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and stakeholders. • Conduct field inspections and site assessments to verify system performance. • Produce technical reports, detailed drawings, and precise specifications. • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.

What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), 8‑10 years of drainage design experience, and a P.Eng designation with Professional Engineers Ontario are required. Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (HEC‑RAS, SWMM), CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads), GIS applications, and strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) and a P.Eng designation. • Possess 8‑10 years of experience in drainage design and stormwater management. • Proficient with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (HEC‑RAS, SWMM), CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads), and GIS applications. • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $78,000‑$117,000, with the final offer based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
