About the Role

Responsibilities include leading structural design, performing analyses, preparing construction documents, and guiding junior engineers on diverse project types. • Perform and review structural design and analysis calculations. • Prepare construction plans, contract documents, details, and specifications for building and vertical structures. • Conduct structural calculations in accordance with the Building Code and jurisdictional amendments. • Review shop drawings and contractor requests. • Conduct site observations for existing and new structures. • Write clear summary and detailed reports. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry‑level engineers. • Lead and manage engineers directly reporting to you. • Execute finite element modeling. • Manage structurally‑lead projects, including project management activities. • Apply expertise in steel and concrete design. • Organize and prioritize tasks based on client requests and workload.

What You Bring
• Utilize broad knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, codes, materials, and construction techniques. • BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis (MS preferred). • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Minimum 15 years of structural design experience on buildings, water/wastewater, or transit projects. • At least 5 years leading teams or projects as a structural lead or manager. • Proficiency with RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS, or similar analysis software. • Experience with Revit for BIM coordination. • Preferred: Structural Engineer (SE) license.
