About the Role

The Project Delivery team seeks a Senior Construction Manager to provide construction management support during pre‑construction, engineering, procurement, bidding, and construction phases. This role reports to the Supervisor of Project Management and acts as PSE’s representative to ensure project milestones are met. The Sr. Construction Manager will oversee contractors, startup, and commissioning of PSE’s substation projects, interfacing with Project Managers to assess contractor compliance, forecast cost or schedule issues, and negotiate change orders approved by PSE management. The position also facilitates handover of projects to Operations and works under the direction of the assigned Project Manager. • Provide construction management support throughout pre‑construction, engineering, procurement, bidding, and construction phases. • Oversee contractors, startup, and commissioning of substation projects, ensuring milestones are met. • Assess contractor compliance, identify cost or schedule issues, and initiate remedial actions such as acceleration. • Track and negotiate change orders approved by PSE management. • Review project design specifications with experts to ensure contractor work meets contract requirements. • Ensure complete project documentation, including as‑built records and non‑conformance resolutions. • Uphold PSE safety standards and promote a total‑safety culture. • Conduct business ethically in line with PSE core values and regulatory compliance.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) and have at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in the energy sector, including project or site management. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required, as is the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects. • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 10+ years in energy sector; project/site management experience; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to lead cross‑functional teams. • Desired: 10 years project engineering or construction experience in the Northwest.

Benefits
